It’s really hard to believe that we’ve already kicked off the 2016 Wedding Season! This winter absolutely flew by, and we have sooo many awesome engagement sessions to catch up on blogging. Elizabeth & Michael are two of the sweetest people, and I’m thrilled they’ve chosen me to tell their love story!
I’m such a huge advocate for engagement sessions because I feel it’s a crucial component in how I shoot, and how I capture emotion from my couples. Most often couples aren’t super thrilled with having engagement photos taken, because let’s face it, being in front of the camera isn’t really all that comfortable. These two are so full of life and love to laugh (which is my #1 ideal couple!!!). We started our session in Downtown Manteo and no more than 5 shots in I asked Michael to kiss Elizabeth on the forehead. The two instantly busted out laughing and Michael asked if Elizabeth put me up to that. After seeing my bewildered face they finally clued me in that Elizabeth LOVES forehead kissing photos, which is a staple in my workflow! That the moment I knew they were going to be an awesome couple to work with. Unfortunately for Michael he’s really good at the snugly photos, so I was not about to let him off the hook. These two were total troopers as we covered a lot of ground and were totally game for whatever I asked. I’m so excited to photographed their fall wedding at the Currituck Club.
