Mado & Rox Elizabethan Gardens Engagement // Outer Banks Wedding & Engagement Photographer

One of my favorite spots on Roanoke Island is the Elizabethan Gardens, but I’m probably a little biased as it’s essentially my backyard! It’s not often that we get there for sessions, even though it’s one of our favorites because most people tend to gravitate to the beach. I was super excited when Mado & Rox reached out to capture their engagement photos and they mentioned wanting to use the Elizabethan Gardens. It was a full circle moment because this was actually where Rox popped the question! We spent some time wandering the gardens hitting some of my favorite spots, and finished up with a little snuggling and dancing under the historic oak tree – which was the exact spot of their engagement! It’s a beautiful old oak tree that towers over the gardens, but is tucked back into a quiet little corner along a stone path. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet little moment under the towering tree.
