Megan & Jason are the epitome of troopers, not only were one of my first weddings of the 2020 season that had to deal with the challenges that Covid threw our way, but they got married on the OBX in JULY. If you don’t know what that means, it means that it was about a million degrees and 100% humidity! Well, not really but darn close! Thankfully they had already been planning a sweet and intimate wedding at the Nags Head Golf Links to celebrate with their closest family and their FOUR little boys, so with some extra precautions we proceeded as planned! Intimate weddings are some of my absolute favorite wedding days, because we get to be so intentional with our time and with a smaller guest list it allows us a little bit more wiggle room to focus on getting those couples portraits without feeling as rushed.
I started the day making a quick stop at Megan’s beach house to photograph her details and her mom & sisters helping her into her dress, while Sara met up with Jason and the boys at Golf Links for some pre-ceremony details. They had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the sound, followed by some quick family photos before we took a little ride to my favorite spot for some couples portraits. The Golf Links did an amazing job keeping everyone organized and after their first dance everyone settled in for dinner. We even had a little bit of sunset that we were able to sneak out for before we finished up for the night!
