We know planning a wedding isn’t easy, and our goal is to be transparent and straightforward with our packages. We are happy to add additional coverage or items onto our base packages.

We approach your wedding day with an editorial eye; think timeless, magazine-worthy images that still feel natural, modern and true to you. Our style is relaxed and easygoing, but we also know a wedding day is a beautiful dance of both unplanned moments and thoughtfully curated ones.

For us, connection is everything. The more we get to know you and your loved ones, the more authentic and lasting your images will be…photographs that become part of your family’s story for generations. We love blending into the background to catch those candid, in-between moments, while also stepping in with gentle direction when it’s needed.

Our wedding collections begin at 8 hours of coverage to ensure we can capture the full story – from the little pre-ceremony details to the big reception moments. Every wedding is unique, and we work closely with each couple to shape a timeline and coverage plan that feels just right for their day.

engagement sessions

Your love story starts with “Yes”!

A key component to building a relationship with our wedding couples is through their engagement session. We feel so passionately about getting to know our couples that we include a complimentary engagement session in our packages. While certainly not required, we believe it’s an important part of our wedding workflow.

Often the engagement session are the only professional photos a couple will have together in non-wedding attire, and they’re a great addition to the collection of photos that will tell your love story.

We encourage our couples to choose a location that feels meaningful to them and their relationship. If it’s including your favorite hobby (like boating, golf, the beach, the mountains, etc) we are happy to help come up with something that feels authentic to you.

**Complimentary sessions must take place within 60 miles of 27954, however we are happy to travel to alternate locations if you have something else in mind. Travel fees apply, please inquire with us about your specific location.

You may be wondering…

Each of our couples are booked within our online client system, we try to make it as easy as possible. We do require a signed contract and $1,000 non-refundable retainer to secure your date. The remaining balance is split into two installments – 50% at the halfway point and the final 50% two weeks prior to the event date.

Engagement sessions are complimentary and included in our packages as a way for us to work together prior to the wedding day. We feel it’s a great chance for our couples to get comfortable in front of the camera and us to get to know each other.

While you don’t have to do the engagement session, we highly recommend it and it does not change your package.

As soon as your wedding has been booked, you can start thinking about scheduling your engagement photos. If you’re coming from out of town we suggest having at least a couple days, to allow flexibility in case of weather reschedules. Keep in mind Spring & Fall we often have weddings on weekends.

We encourage all couples regardless of wedding size to have a planner or DOC. We feel it’s an essential addition to the wedding day team, and allows us the ability to be fully focused on capturing your day. We believe a qualified and experienced planner is an essential part of a wedding day, and the weddings featured on our website and socials were all coordinated by a planner.

After your wedding day we typically have a quick little preview posted to our socials within the next 1-2 days. The full gallery is ready within 8-12 weeks of your wedding date. Your final gallery will be emailed to you ready for downloading and sharing with your family and friends.

1000% YES. We’ve been so blessed to travel for many weddings over the years throughout the East Coast from Connecticut to Florida and West to the mountains. Domestic or International, our passports are always ready. While we love the coastal life, we fully believe a change of scenery also brings a fresh sense of creativity and we love mountain weddings as well! For us, it’s all about the light! Courtney spends her winters in the fishing village of Herradura, Costa Rica in the winters!

a litte about me

Hey there, I’m Courtney!

I am a true believer in love stories. In 2012 I married my high-school sweetheart, Rob, after 12 years. Together we’ve shared a journey that has been rich with memories, and cultivated the most amazing life full of adventure. We met and married at Pirates Cove Marina, right here on the Outer Banks and now have two little coastal cuties of our own. Our boys, Cooper & Sawyer, are the perfect little mix of salty & sweet, and really help drive home the importance of preserving moments.

You could say the water is the essence of our foundation. Our lives revolve around boating and billfish, and many of my couples are also most at home on the water. Avid travelers, we currently split our time between our home on the Outer Banks and the Herradura region of Costa Rica.

As I start my 19th year as a wedding photographer, I love looking back on all the events I got to play a small part of. We absolutely cherish the weddings we get to photograph – from the coast to the mountains and everywhere between.
