Patrick & Courtney’s Surprise Outer Banks Proposal // Roanoke Island Wedding Photographer

One of my favorite things to photograph are proposals. I love the element of surprise, the excitement on faces, and just being a part of one of the most exciting days a person can have! I remember getting an email from Patrick one day in December telling me he was taking a weekend trip to the OBX and planned to propose to Courtney. We emailed a few times and decided Downtown Manteo would be the perfect spot. December here on the Outer Banks can be a pretty fickle month and there is no telling how the weather will be. I was SO excited when proposal day came and the weather was beyond gorgeous. We could not have asked for better weather. I loved that Patrick made sure we had plenty of time for some engagement photos around town before they headed off to celebrate!
