Kasey & Colby’s
Coastal Outer Banks Engagement Session
Hearts forever tethered by the tide — a love story unfolding where the sea meets the soul.

We’re doing things a little out of order today—if you’ve already swooned over Kasey & Colby’s stunning Pirate’s Cove wedding, you’ll know why we just had to circle back and share their dreamy Coastal Engagement Session.
Colby is an Outer Banks native, and while he and Kasey don’t live on the OBX full-time, this place holds a piece of their hearts. So naturally, when it came time for their engagement photos, they knew they wanted to hit a few of their favorite local spots—and we were more than happy to tag along for the ride.
We kicked things off at Roanoke Island Festival Park, where spring was just starting to show off—budding trees, soft light, and a stroll around the dock. After a quick stop at the ever-iconic Bodie Island Lighthouse (because what’s a coastal session without a lighthouse cameo?), we headed back to where it all began: Pirate’s Cove.
With Colby’s dad being a local charter boat captain, it only made sense to end the session on the water. As the sun dipped low and the cool coastal breeze rolled in, we cruised into golden hour—cue the magic. It was the perfect ending to a session full of love, laughter, and salty hair.
