Both hailing from Eastern North Carolina, Casey and Matt first crossed paths at East Carolina University, where they quickly bonded over their shared love of the Outer Banks, the place that had shaped their summers growing up. Though they now call Raleigh home, it only felt right to return to the coast they both cherished to begin their forever. Nestled on the quiet north end of Roanoke Island, the historic Elizabethan Gardens offered the most enchanting backdrop for their “I do’s.”

One of the most thoughtful choices Casey and Matt made for their day was forgoing a traditional bridal party. Instead, Casey spent the morning surrounded by her closest girlfriends while preparing to walk down the aisle, creating a morning that felt intimate, joyful, and true to her. Beneath the shade of an ancient live oak, they exchanged vows in a ceremony as heartfelt as it was timeless. Following their union, we strolled through the gardens for portraits, capturing quiet, intentional moments together before the celebrations began.

As the sun dipped low, guests gathered beneath a clear-top tent, where the evening unfolded in true Southern style. The reception was adorned with vintage books and collected treasures, each detail reflecting pieces of Casey and Matt’s story. With laughter and music spilling into the night, friends and family danced beneath twinkling lights and the starry Outer Banks sky….the perfect ending to a day woven with love, history, and a touch of magic.
